The Bluffs is a beautiful condominium development located on the Back Bay of Newport Beach. Established by The Irvine Company in the late 1960s and early 70s, The Bluffs was the recipient of an award given by the American Institute of Architects when our design was initially conceived and built in the sixties. We were nominated and won again, 25 years later for having preserved our unique and classic architectural designs. Most recently The Bluffs was honered with a nomination for the 50 year award. The Bluffs is now considered one of the most family-friendly communities in the south Orange County area.
Situated on the westside of Jamboree Road and the southside of Eastbluff Drive, The Bluffs community includes picturesque greenbelts with walking trails, refreshing Association swimming pools and a reflection pool. Additionally, the neighborhood is complimented with the Eastbluff Neighborhood Park, Eastbluff Village Shopping Center, the Newport Beach Tennis Club and the Upper Newport Bay. The Upper Newport Bay is an estuary, one of the few remaining in Southern California. Residents can hike, bike, canoe, kayak, fish or simply enjoy the beautiful Upper Newport Bay.
Families with children enjoy living in The Bluffs. All schools located in our community are within easy walking distance from our homes. Eastbluff Elementary offers kindergarten through sixth grade and Corona Del Mar High School, honored as a California Distinguished School, includes Junior High grades, as well.
With regard to travel, we are conveniently located just a few minutes drive from the 73 Fwy, the 55 Fwy and the 405 Fwy, making for quick and easy accessibility to the States highway system (either for work-commuting or longer trips). Pacific Coast Hwy, Route 1, the scenic, north / south coastal road, is only two miles from The Bluffs.
We hope you enjoy our award-winning neighborhood whether you are a current homeowner, a visitor, or considering buying or leasing a home in The Bluffs. For fun you can enjoy reading an advertisement that appeared in The Los Angeles Times WEST Magazine on September 29, 1968. How life was 40 years ago in The Bluffs!
